2024 has started off with a bang. Lenore closed on two properties totaling $4M+ in sales. The properties were located in Burleith and Foxhall Village. She also helped her clients looking on the Eastern Shore find an exceptional home in Oxford. The Eastern Shore, especially Oxford has limited inventory. Lenore wrapped up the sale to her clients’ benefit within two days of coming on the market.

Despite a seasonal dip in home sales activity in December, the Washington DC metro area experienced a surprisingly robust market. The median sale price saw an impressive 8.1% increase, marking the fastest growth since spring 2022. Although new pending sales were slightly lower than the previous year, with a 1.1% decrease, the market remained resilient. The dip in sales is attributed to a shortage of fresh listings entering the market, as seen in the 20.5% drop innew listing activity compared to December 2022.
Overall, the Washington, D.C. metro area's real estate landscape demonstrated resilience and strong price growth in December, making it a positive outcome for homeowners and sellers.
